Client Manager

The Dog Stop® is looking for a dog lover with an extensive background in sales and strong interpersonal relationship building skills to expand client base and directly impact positive sales growth through increased memberships and booked appointments for the Pittsburgh, PA, locations.  

 

Daily responsibilities will be executed via phone calls, text messaging and email and goals include but are not limited to:  

  • Increasing monthly memberships and meeting store and company sales goals put forth by The Dog Stop® Corporate through program explanation and promotion 

  • Building client database by answering inquiry-based calls and capturing client information, turning them into client profiles.

  • Booking service appointments 

  • Encouraging client participation in the TDS Refural and ReTail Rewards programs.  

  • Addressing, fulfilling, and coordinating donation requests  

As The Dog Stop’s reach is increased via marketing efforts, the person in this role would work closely with the marketing team. Marketing responsibilities include but are not limited to:  

  • Working with social media marketing to set stores up for success regarding planned campaigns  

  • Monitor online reviews and respond to client complaints, working to find a positive resolution  

  • Support guerilla marketing campaigns pushed out from TDS Marketing team 

While many of this position’s responsibilities may be accomplished virtually, there is a need for in-person tasks as well:  

  • Conduct client tours in person in the stores and collect client information to add to contact lists and create client profiles 

  • Represent The Dog Stop® at community functions and events 

  • Support new store openings by giving tours, creating client profiles, and training new staff on how to build client relationships 

 

This is a full-time position, with occasional weekend work required (namely for events and store openings). Preferred candidates will possess at least a year of commission-based sales experience, with a passion for meeting new people and quickly building positive relationships. Applicants should be well spoken with a firm grasp on grammar and appropriate verbiage for professional correspondence. Please supply at least 3 professional references that can attest to sales skills.  

The employee will receive a base pay, however, compensation will be heavily rooted in commission-based sales bonuses. After 90 days, the employee will have access to vacation days, optional company health insurance, optional 401K enrollment, not to mention store discounts on all products and services.
